Nancy Rae Mills' Obituary
Nancy Rae Cornelison Mills was born April 30, 1944, in Kansas City, Missouri, and passed away June 25, 2025, in Frisco, Texas. Preceded in death by Parents: Earl and Helen Cornelison, Spouse: John Paul Mills. Survived by: Daughter – Tina Johnson and husband, John Johnson, of Frisco, Texas, Son – John Timothy Mills and wife, Tonya Mills, of Denison, Texas, Grandchildren: Alex Paul Johnson and Jodie Johnson Dupuis, Brother: Paul Earl Mitchell and wife, Gail Mitchell, of Terrell, Texas.
Nancy supported her husband in ministry at Cathedral of Praise Carrollton in Carrollton, Texas, for many years, speaking and leading worship while playing piano and organ. She wrote many of the worship songs that were sung at COPC. She also assisted her husband in starting several other ministries in the Dallas area including Prime Time Fellowship in Plano, Texas, and helped to lead a number of Life Group classes at various churches. She and her husband also conducted Christian marriage and parenting seminars nationwide.
Nancy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and dog-mom. She enjoyed spending time with family, hosting get-togethers at her home, and was passionate about spreading God’s Word. She will be deeply missed by her friends, family, and all who knew her.
The celebration of life service for Nancy will be on Thursday, July 3rd, 2025, at 10:30 AM, at Restland Funeral Home in Dallas, Texas. Visitation will be on Wednesday, July 2nd, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Restland Funeral Home.
