Nancy Susan Robins DeLee's Obituary
DELEE, NANCY SUSAN ROBBINS beloved by many, passed away on October 22, 2011. Nancy Susan was born on July 30, 1923 in Hope, Arkansas. After graduating from the University of Arkansas, where she was a member of Chi Omega sorority, she moved to Dallas. She worked for Neiman Marcus before marrying John Scott DeLee, Jr. in 1946. With their three children, they were founding members of Churchill Way Presbyterian Church. They later joined Preston Hollow Presbyterian, where Nancy was an ordained elder, actively volunteering in many capacities. She worked successfully for 23 years as a residential real estate agent. After retirement, she joined many social clubs and service organizations, including D.A.R. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents Leo and Susie; her sister Betty Robins Hudson of Chicago; and her husband of 46 years, Scott DeLee. She is survived by her sister and brother in-law Sandra and Bill Tranum of Little Rock; daughter and son-in-law Susan and John Cuellar; son and daughter-in-law Scott and Nina DeLee; son David DeLee; granddaughters Catherine Cuellar, Laura Haney, and Jenni DeLee; great-grandson Robert Haney; and many fine nieces, nephews and in-laws. A memorial service will be held Thursday, October 27, 2011 at 11:00 AM in the Preston Hollow Presbyterian Chapel with a reception following. Visitation will be at Restland on Wednesday, October 26 from 6-8 PM. In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made to the Preston Hollow Presbyterian Church Foundation.
