Nancy Hairston Summitt's Obituary
Nancy Hairston Summitt, 66, of Dallas was born 12-23-43. Nancy passed away 06-01-10 after succumbing to cancer diagnosed about a year earlier. Nancy served her community as a teacher for Highland Park ISD. Nancy later moved into real estate. She worked as a sales agent and was working as a relocation specialist for Ebby Halliday Realtors at the time of her death. Nancy is preceded in death by her father James Monroe Hairston, her mother Anne Brister Hairston, and her brother Walter Claiborne Hairston. Nancy is survived by her husband, Dennis Dean Anderson of Dallas; her son, James Christopher Summitt and wife Emily of Denton and their children Ganady, Austin, Elena, and Halle; her brother, James Monroe Hairston Jr. and his wife Kathy of Alta Loma, California and their sons Clint and Jake. Funeral services will be held at Restland Dallas in the Memorial Chapel located at 13005 Greenville Ave., Dallas, TX, on Saturday June 5, 2010. The surviving family is excited to celebrate Nancy’s life. Nancy would prefer bright, cheerful clothes and flashy jewelry for the attendees. The family requests donations to the American Cancer Society in the name of Nancy Summitt in lieu of flowers.
