ZUNIGA, NANCY JO FOX, “Heaven must have been missing an Angel” Not any more! On Sat. 8/3/8, Heaven’s newest Red-Headed Angel, Nancy Jo arrived in the arms of St. Michael the Archangel, the Protector of God’s people. Greeted at the Gates by Jesus Christ & the Blessed Virgin Mary. She touched so many with her beautiful laugh & infectious smile & personality. She loved people, children, flowers, animals and teddy bears. She was so very special she was the apple of her dad’s eye, her husband’s eye, and even God’s eye. Her career spanned over 35 years at Retail stores such as Paul Harris, Lerner’s, 5,7 &9, Bag n Baggage, and most recent Ross stores. Born 7/8/50 in Indianapolis, IN. She later started her retail career there, and moved to Dallas in the mid 70’s. She served as Sales, Regional, District, & Store Manager. She loved Retail, she adored all the young people who worked for her as well as hundreds of loyal Retail customers. In 2000, she then met her future husband Jesse. Having been born Methodist she converted to the Catholic faith. Her confirmation name was Mary, and her patron saint became the Miraculous Infant Jesus of Prague. She became involved with many social & volunteering events with the DFW New Horizon Catholic Singles. Preceded in death by her Father Floyd E. Peterson. She is survived by her grieving family, mother Annabel Peterson, brother Retired Army Colonel John Peterson, Son Issac Fox active US Air Force, daughter Dawn Swirsky, son Christopher White and five beautiful grandchildren; grieving husband Jesse Zuniga Jr.; In-laws Rose Zuniga, Tony Zuniga, Robert Zuniga, Steve Zuniga, Michael A. Zuniga, Joann Deboer, and Debbie Esquibel. Holy Rosary service Thursday 7:00 pm at Restland Memorial Chapel. Visitation & family tributes from 7 to 9 pm Friday Restland. Concluding Mass of Christian Burial to be held 12:00 noon at St. Rita’s Catholic Church off Harvest Hill & Inwood. Rev. John Haney celebrant. Followed by Burial at Calvary Hill Catholic Cemetery. Lord you Blessed us with her birth and her life, and even in her Death you still bless us. For we know that Nancy is resting in your bosom for all Eternity.
