Nannie Frances McLain's Obituary
MCLAIN, NANNIE FRANCES Born May 8, 1920 in/around Haskell, Texas and passed away September 25, 2012 in Richardson, Texas. She was preceded in death by her mother, Myrtis Black Patterson, father William Franklin Patterson, 4 brothers, 4 sisters, and her beloved husband, Orion Morgan “Mac” McLain to whom she was married for 70 years. During World War II, while Mac was overseas, she worked at North American and subsequently at Neiman Marcus in downtown Dallas, Texas. She was retired from retail sales. She was a two-time cancer survivor. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of V.F.W. Post 4477 in Grand Prairie, Texas, where she was chair of the cancer and research committee for some time. She is survived by daughter, Dehbra Richter and partner Michael Lynch of Irving, Texas, grandchildren, Michael Wilder and wife Debbie Wilder of Billings, Montana, Jason Wilder of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Erika Richter Vazquez and husband Luis Vazquez of Wylie, Texas. Great-grandchildren, Lucas Wilder, Lauren Wilder both of Billings, Montana, Aaron Wilder and Samuel Wilder of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Shelby Richter of Mesquite, Texas, and Brandon Vazquez of Wylie, Texas as well as many nieces and nephews, grand nieces and nephews, and great-grand nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 pm on Monday, October 1st at Restland Funeral Home. Services will be held at 12:30 pm on Tuesday, October 2nd at Restland Wildwood Chapel.
