Naomi Pearl Townsend's Obituary
Naomi Thompson Townsend, age 82, of Garland, TX, passed away Friday, November 6, 2009, peacefully from the arms of her loving family into the arms of her loving Savior. Born February 8, 1927, in Farmersville, TX. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lonnie M. and Minty Lee Seay; husband, George Leon Thompson; husband, Stith Aulton Townsend; son, James A. Townsend; grandson, James A. Townsend, Jr.; great-grandsons, Michael Blake Townsend and Ty Austin Smith. She is survived by her son, Charles and Sandra Thompson of Navarre, FL; daughter, Janie and Vaughn Linders of Garland, TX; daughter, June Townsend of Denton, TX; daughter, Janice Townsend of Euless, TX; daughter, Candice and Jack Schultz of Yantis, TX; sister, Faye Patrick of Rowlett, TX; sister, Mary and James West of Garland, TX; sister, Jesse and QB Thomas of Poetry, TX; sister, Ruby Stevens of Garland, TX; sister, Ann Creel of Garland, TX,;22 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation to be held Monday, November 09, 6-8PM, at Restland Funeral Home, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX. Service to be held Tuesday, November 10, 10:00AM, at Restland Wildwood Chapel. Pastor Jim Burt will officiate. Pallbearers are grandsons, Andre Warner, Ashur Warner, Benjamin Madill, Javier Organista, Stephen Linders, Mike Townsend, Terry Townsend, Richey Jones, Rodney Mesquias, and Kevin Britton. Naomi’s strong sense of independence and strength will forever be with us. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
