Nathan Alan Whitener's Obituary
Nathan Alan Whitener was born December 24, 1954 in Dallas, TX he joined his father, Charles, in Heaven on December 14, 2018. He is survived by mother Mary, daughter Courtney, brothers Cleve and wife Becky, and Sid and wife Sherry, sisters Cherry Rohe and husband Jamie, and Nancy DePue and husband Jim; nieces and nephews Kristin, Lauren, Megan, Ethan, and Austin; love of his life Jacqueline (Jackie) Henderson; and loyal friend Ted Ubben.Nathan, or Dutch to those who knew him best, was a larger than life man whose greatest joys in life were his family and bringing others to know the love of Christ. In recent years, he got such great joy ministering to inmates through Bill Glass prison ministries. He graduated from Lake Highlands High School in 1973 and from Texas A&M with a degree in Building Construction Management. He was a lifelong member of First Baptist Dallas, took pride in his ability to cook amazing food, and was happiest when outdoors in nature.Family will receive friends on Monday, December 17, 2018 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Restland Funeral Home. A celebration of life service will be held on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at 2:00 PM First Baptist Church of Dallas.
