Nathaniel Joe Vasquez's Obituary
Nathaniel Joe Vasquez January 9, 1996 – January 14, 2025
It is with heavy hearts and deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Nathaniel Joe Vasquez, (AKA, Nate) who left us on January 14, 2025. Born on January 9, 1996, Nate was a beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend who touched the lives of everyone he encountered with his kindness, generosity, and unwavering faith in Christ.
Nate’s life was defined by his deep passion for others and his commitment to leading by example. He was a natural leader—whether as a team captain, a role model for his peers or an exemplary worker on the job site. Nate excelled in everything he did, from his athletic pursuits as a baseball player to his work in deep water commercial diving or on a power pole restoring and providing telecommunication services for those who had suffered loss by a devastating natural storm.
His strong work ethic and determination were matched only by his compassion for those around him.
Above all, Nate’s faith in Christ guided him throughout his life. He was a devoted worshiper of God, using his talent with the guitar to help lead others to worship Jesus. His strong belief in love, kindness, and service made him a friend to many, and a source of light and encouragement for his family and community.
Nate’s legacy will live on through his impact on the lives he touched, and the love he shared. He is survived by his loving family: Parents Abel and Karen Vasquez, brothers Chase and Caleb Vasquez, Future Sister-in law Ava Kitabjian, Grandparents Joe and Olivia Vasquez & Janice Perez. Uncles and Aunts: Steve Vasquez, Daniel and Cindy Vasquez, Joe and Lindsey Vasquez, Susan Perez, Michael Perez, Scott and Diana Streller, Mark and Christina Perez, Donald and Sarah Perez and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandpa Joe Perez.
A viewing for Nate’s life will be held at Restland on Friday February 7, 2025 from 4-8pm, where friends and family will gather to honor his memory and the incredible person he was.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Canine Companions in Nate and Licorice II Honor. Checks can be made to Canine Companions 7710 Las Colinas Ridge, Irving, Tx. 75063 or Online at www.canine.org/donate under Honor and Memorial Gifts.
