Nelda Lee Maberry's Obituary
Maberry, Nelda Lee “SIS” Nelda was born November 21, 1933 in Lavon, Texas to Curtis and Mary Lee Standifer. She was raised in Dallas and graduated from Forest high School there in Dallas. Nelda married Charles Maberry on June 28, 1952 in Dallas. She was a member of Paramount Baptist Church. Nelda lived for her daughter and her two-grandkids. She was known as “Me-Me” to her grankids and ‘SIS’ to the rest of her family. Nelda was a very outgoing person who was always a “cut-up”. She was one who had a terriffic sense of humor. She also really enjoyed decorating her home. Nelda was a wonderful wife, sister, mother and grandmother and will greatley missed. Nelda was preceded in d eath by her parents, Curtis and Mary Lee Standifer and her sisters, Louise Brigham and Eileen Miller. Nelda is survived by her husband Charles Maberry of the home; her daughter, Dalana Peterson and husband, Lee of Amarillo; her grandchildren, Colt and Brittan Peterson of Amarillo and her brother, Jim Standifer and wife, Lou of Amarillo. Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 16, 2010 at Restland Wildwood Chapel.
