Nelda Y. Williams' Obituary
Williams, Nelda Young, age 79, of Dallas, Texas, beloved mother and grandmother passed away peacefully on 7/4/2011 in Rockwall, TX. She was born on 1/30/1932 in Lake Creek, Texas to her parents, Alvin and Jessie Young. Nelda was the oldest of 2 daughters. She married Joe Merle Williams in Pecan Gap, TX on 08/13/1960. They had 5 children. She attended East Texas State University. She was a longtime resident of Dallas, Texas and employed in the oil and gas industry as an accountant for 40 years. Nelda was a member of Arapaho United Methodist Church. She enjoyed Bible study, her grandchildren, interior decorating, Cowboys football, art and music. Nelda will be remembered by her children Lisa and Jeff Stedman, Bev Williams, Kim and Kurt Argubright, and Bruce and Bridget Williams and her cherished grandchildren Andrew, Zachary, Samantha, Brianna and Ryan. She is also survived by sister, Patricia Doyle. Preceded in death by husband, Joe M. Williams, child Randall Wayne Williams, parents Alvin and Jessie Young. Visitation will begin on Tuesday July 5, 2011 from 6:00 p m until 8:00 p m at Restland Funeral Home. Relatives and friends are invited to a funeral service for Nelda at 9:30 a m on Wednesday July 6, 2011, at Arapaho United Methodist Church, 1400 W. Arapaho Rd in Dallas. Burial will follow at Restland Memorial Park.
