Nell Reba Jackson's Obituary
Jackson, Nell Reba dearly loved mother, grandmother and great grandmother, peacefully went to be with her Lord on Monday, December 9, 2013. Nell was born on May 25, 1929 to Lola and Clyde Venable of Detroit, Texas. During her high school years she was often an entertainer for various school and civic affairs. Nell will be remembered not only as a talented pianist, but also as a former Garland dance and piano teacher. She was a gifted amateur artist. For many years, after retiring from teaching piano in her home, Nell worked for Lone Star Gas Company. Her custom paintings hung in many offices of Lone Star Gas. Nell was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Donald Jackson. She is survived by sons, Alan, and wife, Debbie, Mike, and wife, Dianne and Dan; granddaughters, Stephanie Spencer and Crystal Bayless and husband, Jeremy; grandson, Matthew Jackson and wife, Miranda; great grandchildren, Trace Spencer, Jocelyn Jackson, Dylan and Blaine Bayless. She is also survived by her sisters, Ruth Walsh, and husband, Ed, Ann Graham, and late husband, Wendell, and brother, Van, and wife, DeAnna. She will also be missed by many nieces and nephews and her devoted caregiver, Becky Jackson and her three children, Graci, Gabrielle and Adrianna . Nell was a fashionable, graceful beautiful lady who never said an unkind word about anyone. She was a true matriarch and example to all her family. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Thursday, December 12, 2013 at Restland Funeral Home. Services will be at 3:00 PM on Friday, December 13, 2013 at Restland Abbey Chapel.
