Nellie M. Fooshee's Obituary
Nellie Margaret Fooshee, age 98, passed peacefully on Wednesday, April 28, 2009 in Rowlett, TX. She was born on January 20, 1911 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Nellie married and spent her adult life in Dallas, Texas. She was a charter member of St. Lukes Methodist Church near Love Field and was affiliated with The Order of Eastern Star. She spent her life in service to her church and her family and loved gardening. She enjoyed working as a dental assistant and in retail sales. Nellie lived her life following the teachings and principles of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour. She was deeply loved and will be dearly missed. She is survived by son Don D. Fooshee and wife Margaret of Terrell, Texas and by daughter Kay M. Fooshee of Rowlett, Texas. Also by grandchildren Debborah Fooshee and Don David Fooshee both of Las Vegas, Nevada and Georgia Fooshee of Terrell, Texas and by extended family members and friends in the Dallas and Ft. Smith areas. Nellie is preceded in death by husband, George William Fooshee, parents Olive V. Cline and William Dabney, and brother, Richard Dabney. Service will be 10:00 AM, Saturday, May 2, 2009 in Restland Wildwood Chapel with visitation 1 hour prior to service. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to her favorite charity, The Salvation Army, 8787 Stemmons Fwy., Suite 800, Dallas, TX 75247.
