Nemat Bahadur Massey's Obituary
Nemat Bahadur Massey 75 years old of Dallas, Texas passed away on August 27th, 2024.
Nemat Bahadur Massey born on December 28th, 1948, to Bahadur Masih and Bibi Masih in Sargodha, Pakistan. After he graduated high school in Pakistan, he attended technical school in Gujranwala and earned his certifications in mechanics to become a machinist. He met his wife Hana Firdous Massey in Lahore, Pakistan and was married to her and soon moved to The United States with Hana Firdous Massey in 1978 where they both resided in Dallas. Nemat was a skilled machinist and worked in the field rigorously after completing his certifications in blue printing and mechanics in 1980. He worked for Standard Manufacturing in Dallas during the Gulf War, building bomb loaders, and bomb parts as well as parts for aircraft carriers. In 1988 both Nemat and Hana had a daughter Humaira Irene Massey who was their one and only child. They were both ecstatic when she was born, it was a blessing for them. During this time, the Gulf War had ended and Nemat Massey was laid off but that did not keep him down for long, he soon went back and was trained to become a phlebotomist, and he was one of the best. He passionately worked in the lab until 2001. After his work-related injury, he began to spend time with his daughter taking her to and from school and being her biggest supporter. In 2005 he welcomed his son-in-law Mr. Arfat Zakrea into the family. In August 2007, his oldest Granddaughter Rachael Zerine Zakrea was born, and he became a nana and loved to spend his weekends with her. In October of 2008, his beloved wife of 30 years passed away leaving him. In July of 2010, his favorite granddaughter Hannah Zerine Zakrea was born. She was named in memory of her naani and she was his favorite granddaughter. He saw his Grandchildren start school, celebrate birthdays, and finally in April of 2017 his “little friend”, his one and only grandson Benjamin Roman Zakrea was born. For the last 7 years he has been active in the community sharing the Gospel with whoever was willing or unwilling to listen to him. He is survived by his one and only Daughter Mrs. Humaira Irene Zakrea, Son-in- law Mr. Arfat Zakrea, and his three grandchildren Rachael Z. Zakrea, Hannah Z. Zakrea and Benjamin R. Zakrea. He was Preceded in death by his wife Hana Firdous Massey, parents Bahadur Masih and Bibi Masih, and sister Rashida Masih. He will be missed immensely by his immediate family and many friends, but we understand that this is not goodbye, but we have faith that we will meet again one day.
Jeremiah 29:11-13 “ For I know the plans I have for you says the Lord, plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future. Then you will call on me and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.”
On behalf of the Zakrea family we would like to thank all of you for your love and support during this difficult time.
