Neva Malcomesius' Obituary
1919-2008. Passed away on October 11. Beloved wife, mother, friend and teacher was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Leon Maclomesius and is survived by their chidlren and their spouses: Eunice and Ron Cheshire, Sharon Kagan, Rusty and Pat Malcomesius and Krys and Phil Bearden, 6 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and numerous friends. Born in San Antonio, she was a Dallasite since 1925 and a graduate of Ursuline Academy. Neva loved family, life, travel and education; she was a member of nine organizations including N. Dallas Antique Study Club, the Tuesday Bridge Club, DAR and DRT. She was a pioneer in educational methods for reading disabilities especially dyslexia and co-authored textbooks in the Gillingham Method. A charter member of St. Ritas Catholic Church, she continued to be active in St. Francis Circle and the Yellow Rose until recent months.
