Dear Lulu, Gavin & Liam, I met Nick when he was a young teen when his good friend, Robert William Davey brought him to our house to pick up our daughter, Angela. Angela & Robbie (Robert) married a few years later. Nick told me recently that once Angela came into the picture, he didn't spend as much time with Rob. Nick was Robbie's best man (if my memory serves me correctly), if not, a groomsman. We saw Nick periodically throughout their dating days & few years of marriage. Over the past few years, Nick and my husband, James Moon, worked in the same bank (building). I was fortunate to be able to reconnect with him and remember fondly our last few conversations. The last one was spent, as always, with him telling me how much he loved you three. Also, he was very encouraging & listened with great concern regarding Rob & Angela's 3 children, my grandchildren. Nick ALWAYS SMILED and was a good friend to Angela, Rob, & kids. He was genuinely happy, joyful. I KNOW that you all are still in disbelief as am I that his time on earth is over. I will never understand GOD's purpose but I have faith that HIS PLAN is good. That being said, grief, tears, anger, disbelief, frustration, questioning are all normal. I've noticed many people talking about his heavenly reunion with his daddy & brother. I know that he & Robert William Davey are up there cutting up & catching up. Two best friends taken way too early, 29 & 38. Their lives touched & impacted so many in their short lives. I pray for your comfort, peace, rest, wisdom, future, provision, protection. In the NAME THAT IS ABOVE EVERY NAME, IN THE PRECIOUS NAME OF JESUS, I pray. Amen.
