Niko was one of those people who you looked forward to seeing everyday because you knew he was going to do or say something that would make you smile. We had so many great Goya memories. Whether it was playing in the basketball tournament, to going to retreats and camps, to just hanging out, we always managed to have a ton of fun. Niko was one of my 8th-grade science students. I immediately could see he was one in a million. He shared how much he loved to tinker with technology. He was a bright young man and wished I had more students like him. He had a wonderful sense of humor and always made class fun. I am saddened to hear of his passing as the world has lost a wonderful, kind, and gentle soul. Rest in peace Niko and my condolences to his family.
