Nina Elise Petrin's Obituary
It is with immeasurable shock and sadness that we have to announce the passing of our beloved Nina (Nemo).
After nearly two months of illness and four weeks in the hospital, Nina Elise Petrin passed away around 7:15 PM on Thursday, March 26th. She was surrounded by her family and friends.
Nina Berentsen was born December 12, 1973 in Stavanger Norway. She grew up sailing with her family off the coast. Nina had many life long friends in Norway. She came to the United States in 1993 on a one year visa to work as a family nanny. Nina and Robert met that summer and they got married in Stavanger Norway the summer of 1998. Nina graduated from the University of Texas in Arlington with a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and earned her RN certification. Nina worked for Texas Health Resources - Presbyterian for almost 27 years.
Nina was preceded in death by Drude Berentsen and survived by her husband Robert of 27 years, her two cherished children Kate and Jacob. Her father Svein Inge and her brother Christer.
"In lieu of flowers" the family is requesting donations to Allen Animal Service in Nina's name and memory.
