Nita was an incredible woman whom I loved dearly for over 30 yrs. I am very sad that I was unaware of her passing after she left her home at Traditions. I met Nita and Ray through Plano newcomers in 1995, when she was in change of couples duplicate bridge evenings. I was so intimidated by her incredible depth of the game and wanting to share her knowledge, but she encouraged me and taught me so much. I became a stronger and more competitive player through Nita’s tutelage. We saw each other 2-3 times a week in various bridge groups and other groups we socialized in for many, many years.
After Ray passed and she moved into traditions, we still continued to play bridge, go out for lunch, sometimes dinners… She was a second mother to me. In fact, her daughter and I were born the same year…she was smart, feisty, kind, loving and a great friend. I miss her laugh, her stories and her fun personality. She will always be in my heart. My deepest condolences to her family. Memories are forever!
