Nora Hollingsworth's Obituary
Nora Ann Hollingsworth, born on October 17, 1929, in San Antonio, Texas to Ralph and Anita Montalvo, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 29, 2024, at her home in Garland, Texas. As a child she moved with her family to Dallas, Texas where she attended school and graduated from Crozier Tech. On February 5, 1949, she married Roy Hollingsworth, the love of her life, and together they made a home and raised four children. Nora was a devoted wife and mother and worked side by side with her husband in the concession business at the Devil's Bowl Speedway, the State Fair of Texas and the Mesquite Rodeo. She was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and loved to engage in conversation with other fans about the team members and their games. In later years, she picked up a paint brush and pursued her lifelong dream of becoming an artist. And an artist she became, quite accomplished, winning ribbons at art shows and gifting treasured oil paintings to her family and friends.
Nora was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her son, Bradford Lee Hollingsworth, her brother, Ralph Montalvo, Jr., and her son-in-law, Bobby Seher. She is survived by her brothers, Gilbert (Shelby) Montalvo, Freddie Montalvo, and Robert (Susan) Montalvo, her sister, Sylvia Spiegelhauer, daughters, Paula Hollingsworth, Laura (Eddie) Myers and Dorie Seher, her daughter-in-law, Nancy Hollingsworth, her grandchildren, Suzette Tyler, Jennifer (David) Moore, Brad (Amy) Hollingsworth, Jr.., Mark (Hiromie) Hollingsworth, Scott (Camille) Hollingsworth, Alesha Grecu, Stephanie (Dustin) Stracener, James (Meredith) Seher, and Christopher (Ashley) Seher, Nine great-grandchildren, and numerous beloved nephews and nieces and other family members.
