Nora LaVaun Reilly's Obituary
Nora LaVaun Reilly was born February 19, 1934, in Paris, TX. She passed away peacefully Saturday July 3, 2021, in Richardson TX surrounded by her four children. She was 87 years old.
In 1944 her family moved to Oakland California so her father could help with the war effort. After WWII, the family moved to Denison, TX, finally settling in Dallas.
While out with her sister and girlfriend in September of 1954, she met the love of her life and on December 4th of that year she became an Air Force Wife.
During the first 23 years of their marriage the family moved several times as all military families do. In 1960 she took her first airplane ride with 3 children under age 7 to Japan. During the final years of Vietnam, they lived in Okinawa. In between they moved several times finally retiring to Wylie TX in 1982.
As much as LaVaun loved her family, she might have loved her Dallas Cowboys just as much. Whenever there was a game if the family was together it was guaranteed to be lively. If the family was not together there were phone calls for every good or bad play. She was very excited to be able to attend Super Bowl XXX to watch her Cowboys win against the Buffalo Bills. Now, her and Dad can watch Gods Team play together again.
LaVaun was predeceased in death by her loving husband of 54 years Larry Reilly, an infant daughter Karen Sue Reilly and her parents John and Angie Morse.
She is survived by her 4 children, Linda Seumalo of Wylie TX, Patricia Skinner of Wylie TX, Steven Reilly and wife Debbie of Lavon TX, Cheryl Bishop and husband Rick of Little Elm TX.
LaVaun also leaves behind 7 grandchildren. Matthew Seumalo, Joshua Seumalo, Larry Epstein, Preston Skinner, Chris Reilly, Ryan Reilly, Elizabeth Bishop. 12 great grandchildren.
She also leaves behind sisters Ruth Bain, Martha Prock and husband Frank, and her brother John Morse. Also, several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
