Norma Marie Betty's Obituary
Norma Marie Betty, age 88, of Garland, Texas passed away on September 5, 2020 in Wylie, Texas peacefully in her bed. Norma was born on September 16, 1931 in Dallas, Texas to Charles and Thelma Reeb. She married Glen Eldon Betty on March 7, 1964 in Dallas, Texas. She spent most of her years as a wife, mother, grandmother, child care provider, and homemaker. She was known for her artistic ability. She was a member of Arapaho Road Baptist Church. Norma loved caring for children and not just her own but others as well. It was her gift. She spent most of he life selflessly caring for others never expecting anything in return, She freely opened her heart and home and fully invested in those around her. No one around her ever felt unloved...or went hungry. She loved to laugh and was a joy to be around. She truly shined the light that burned inside her heart.
Norma is survived by her husband, Glen Eldon Betty of Garland, Texas; daughter, Deborah Kay Hatfield of Garland, Texas; sons, Michael Lee Betty of Garland, Texas, Glen Edward Betty of Sachse, Texas, and Robert Lynn Betty of Sachse, Texas; sisters, Thelma Louise Cook of Abilene, Texas, Rita Ann Barder of Mansfield,Texas, and Barbara Jean Rose of Duncanville, Texas; 5 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.
