Norma Barker Byers' Obituary
Byers, Norma Dean Barker, born on December 17, 1942 to parents Eva and Floyd Barker in Dallas, TX joined our Heavenly Father on February 7, 2020 at T. Boone Pickens Hospice Care Center following a valiant 3-year battle with Metastatic Cancer. She was 77 years old. Norma is survived by daughter Kim Alexander of Southlake, TX; son Alan Byers and wife, Erica of Jersey City, NJ, and son Jason Byers and wife, Malia of Dallas, TX. She is also survived by brother Joe Barker and wife, Brenda of Spicewood, TX; twin sister Gloria Ennis and husband, Weldon of Lantana, TX; known as "Dee Dee" to her 6 grandchildren: Rachel Campbell of Fort Worth, TX; Jake Pannell and wife, Anabelle of Fort Worth, TX; Nico Byers of Dallas, TX, London Byers of Dallas, TX, Jonathan Byers of Jersey City, NJ, and Chloe Byers of Jersey City, NJ; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Norma was a graduate of Justin F. Kimball High School in Dallas, loved to play competitive tennis and dance, travel (especially to the beach), and was truly one of a kind. Her radiant smile greeted employees and visitors alike at the front desk of Keurig Dr Pepper, where she held several positions over her 30 year tenure. She will be remembered not only for her stunning beauty and fashion sense, but for her willpower, strength, courage, and work ethic. We will miss her humorous stories, tenacity and her infinite sense of adventure. She loved life, lived it to the fullest, and we will forever love and miss her.
