Norma Jo Greene Asher's Obituary
Norma Jo Greene Asher was born to John and Nancy Greene November 2, 1919, on a farm between Comanche and Gustine, Texas. The family eventually settled in San Angelo, Texas, where she graduated from San Angelo High School in 1937. She attended San Angelo Junior College two years where she was High Honor Girl. While attending the University of Texas, she met William Dabney Asher, fell in love, and married May 31, 1942. Both graduated from UT on their first wedding anniversary. They lived in Denver two years, then in Dallas and Plano for 64 years. Jo and Bill were married 66 years. Jo has one surviving sister, June McSpadden, four children, Kathy Bedford, Anne Eager, Marshall Asher, and Joellen Knochel, 14 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren. She enjoyed many creative activities, but she found greatest pleasure in actively loving her family. The funeral service fo Norma Jo Asher will be November 1, 2014 at 5:00 PM at First United Methodist Church, Plano, Texas. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, at Restland Road, Dallas, TX 75238.
