Norma Gene (Cline) Holcombe
Norma was born February 20, 1926 in Dallas Texas to Marvin D. Cline, Sr. and Edna Earle (Isbell) Cline. She passed away on January 6, 2021 in Rowlett Texas.
She graduated from North Dallas High School in 1944. She soon met Warren Holcombe, fell in love and married on April 25, 1945. They were married for 66 years until Warren’s passing in 2012.
Even at the age of 94, she was active on FB using her iPad, checking her email, and reading the paper daily, always working the crossword. She loved to play card games and had some serious UNO games with her grandkids.
Norma and Warren were longtime members of Orchard Hills Baptist Church in Garland where they both served and loved the Lord.
Norma is survived by daughters Debbie and Les Gregory of Rockwall, Terri and Jerry Wackerla of Lucas, sons Steve and Susan Holcombe of Bryan, and David and Jan Holcombe of Rowlett. Norma is also survived by grandchildren Dr. Jason Harn and Dr. Laura Harn of Frisco, Becky and Todd O’Neal of The Colony, Dr. Sara Holcombe of Houston, Blaine Holcombe of Rowlett, Jeremy and Valerie Holcombe of Corpus Christi, Jennifer and David Thompson of Bryan, Erin Wackera-Warner and Michael Warner of Dallas , and Jaimie and Eliot Allen of Plano. Norma is also survived by great-grandchildren Lincoln, Jackson, Brecken, Brynley, Troop, Tate, Trott, Ava, Taylor, Cole, Hailey, Hayden and Hunter.
She was preceded in death by her husband Warren, her parents, and brother Marvin D. Cline, Jr.
A graveside service will be held on January 14 for immediate family at Restland Memorial Park.
