Norma Lee Houston's Obituary
On Jan. 23, 2017, God received into His glory Norma Houston, born July 9, 1923. She is preceded in death by her husband, sister, half-brother and son. She is survived by two daughters: Rory Houston and Kim Spofford, husband, David; four grandchildren (Ande, Rob, Seth, Spencer) and nine great-grandchildren (Sophie, Cole, Delaney, Turner, Ireland, Kali, Austin, Graham, Carson). Norma was a nurse in the Navy and a military wife who enjoyed the life that moved her every 2 years until her husband’s retirement in 1972. After which they enjoyed traveling overseas, spending time in their country home and hosting family get-togethers. After her husband’s early passing, she settled happily for 30 years with her daughter, Rory. Visitation will be from 6-8 pm, Thursday, January 26, 2017 at Restland Funeral Home. Private Graveside service Friday. Memorials may be made to Scottish Rite Hospital, Dallas, TX.
