Norma Louise Kunde's Obituary
Norma Louise Kunde was born January 18, 1920 in Denver, Colorado and passed away on July 12, 2010. She was a loving and caring woman devoted to her family and the Lord. Raised during the Great Depression, Norma was a strong, independent woman who found great pleasure in caring for others. She was a children’s Sunday school teacher for much of her adult life and most recently enjoyed helping in church services at Mayberry Gardens. An avid reader, she found specific pleasure in history and biographies. She believed in staying young by working crossword puzzles and playing scrabble. Grandchildren and great-grandchildren were a particular delight to her, as were family dinners and fellowship. Norma was a friend to all that met her and an amazing role model to her family. Granny, as we lovingly called her, was very special. Her warm spirit and unselfish heart touched all of us. The unconditional love and support she showed will always be remembered. She is so loved and will be greatly missed. Survivors include her three sons, Paul Kunde and wife Renee, Phil Kunde and wife Janet, Jeff Kunde and wife Anne; grandchildren, Jennifer Kunde, Brian Kunde, Ben Kunde and wife Hiedi, Joe Kunde, Jessica Ozanne and husband Sloan, Cheryl Kunde; great-grandchildren, Lincoln Kunde, Caden Pevehouse, Dillon Ozanne; sisters, Marion Kern and husband Ken, Elizabeth Morrison. Norma was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Walter; sister, Berenice Hanson; brother, Frank Fitch; and parents Willa Mae and Frank Morrison. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, July 31, 2010 at 11am at the Chapel of First Baptist Church of Garland. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the FBC-Garland Norma Kunde Memorial Mission Fund, 801 W. Avenue D, Garland, TX 75040.
