Norma Lee Moore's Obituary
Moore, Norma Lee of Dallas, TX passed away Sunday, September 15, 2013. She was born January 5, 1935 in Atlanta, GA to Rena and J. Preston McCombs. She is survived by daughters, Tracey Suzanne Hill of Dallas and Marena Lee Gault and husband, Roger of Dallas,; granddaughters, Katherine Elizabeth Hill and Marielle Lee LeMasters; grandsons, William Edward LeMasters and Bradley Thomas Hill. Norma was a graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School. She earned her under graduate degree from SMU and her graduate degree in Speech and Hearing from The University of Texas. She played the clarinet, bassoon, piano, and accordion. Norma was in the Woodrow Wilson Marching Band and was one of the first women in the SMU marching band. Norma taught school in the Richardson School District for over 20 years. She taught Sunday school for most of her adult life, as well as teaching a bible class in assisted living homes. She loved to read and enjoyed attending the Dallas Institute of Humanities and Culture. Norma was sweet, smart, funny, strong, and always gracious. She will be missed by many. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, September 19, 2013, at Lake Highlands Presbyterian Church, 8525 Audelia Rd., Dallas, 75238. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lake Highlands Presbyterian Church.
