Norma Jean Mosley's Obituary
Was born the youngest daughter of Faye Sutton Farrar and Fred Farrar on December 27, 1930 in Rockett, Texas. She passed from this life to be with the Lord on December 20, 2007. She is preceded in death by her husband, William Edwin Mosley, her son William Scott Mosley and her sister Freddie Faye Coleman. She is survived by her son Dan Farrar Mosley and his wife Patricia Mosley and her family of Texas, niece Cheryl Elliott and her family of Arkansas, cousin Margie Almand and her family of Texas and Florida and numerous other Farrar and Sutton family cousins. She was a lifelong member of the Disciples of Christ and was devoted to her faith and family. In her youth, Jean was an outstanding athlete and scholar graduating Valedictorian from Ferris High School. After high school she attended business school in Dallas and worked for Reserve Life Insurance Company where she met her future husband. She later worked many years for Family Shoe Store, owned by her uncle B.J. Sutton and then for various companies as an executive secretary. Known for her spontaneous wit and zeal for life, Jean was a kind and caring person who was always helping others. She loved her family, and was a devoted mother who was extremely proud of her two sons. With a keen interest in sports, history, politics and American Idol, Jean was always up on current affairs, and kept us all on our toes with the news of the day. Wherever she went, she made friends easily, and she cherished the many friendships she fostered at Doctor’s Healthcare. She will be sadly missed by all of those whose lives she touched. May this noble and gentle soul forever rest in peace. Visitation will be from 4:00 ‘ 6:00 pm on Saturday, December 22, 2007 at Restland Funeral Home.
