Norma Jeraldine Parker's Obituary
Norma Jeraldine Parker, 88, passed away March 25, 2020 from injuries sustained in an auto accident occurring February 20, 2020. She was born in Omaha, Texas on April 7, 1931 to the late Morris and Mabel Barrier Penny.
Jerrye, as she was known to many, graduated from North Dallas High School in 1948. She married Bob Parker on February 10, 1950 at the First Baptist Church in Dallas. Bob and Jerrye lived in Dallas for 65 years until moving to Wylie, Texas in 2015. She was a secretary/bookkeeper retiring in 1984. They were founding members of the Pleasant Oaks Rock and Mineral Club and charter members of the Ramblin’ Sams, the “first Good Sam RV Club in Texas”. Bob and Jerrye were avid rock hounds, loved RVing and travelling the entire U. S. as well as overseas. Jerrye was a proud member of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas since 2004.
“Nonie” as she was known by her family is survived by her husband of 70 years, Bob, daughter Debbie Kitchens of Lucas, Texas, grandson Curtis Kitchens, his wife Janeal, grandson Kevin Kitchens and his ex-wife Jennifer. She is also survived by great-granddaughter Ashton age 17, great-grandson Jackson age 14 and many nieces and nephews.
Due to the current situation there will be a private burial for immediate family members. A memorial service will be held at 2PM Saturday, June 19, at Wildwood Chapel.
