Norma Louise Cornelius Terrell
January 7, 1928 – January 30, 2020 92 Garland, Texas
Norma was born to Tracy and Lula Jane Greenhaw Cornelius in Dixie, Louisiana. She graduated from Spring Hill High School in Longview, Texas. She attended Kilgore College and received her BA from East Texas Baptist University. She also did graduate studies at TCU, SMU, and East Texas State University.
She married Robert Gray Terrell Sr. on December 21, 1951. She joined Robert in Germany where he was serving in the United States Army of occupation. Together they traveled to many European countries.
Norma taught school for 29 years in Longview, Lancaster, Corpus Christi, and Garland, Texas. She retired in May of 1986. Norma was a member of the Transformation Anglican Church.
Proceeded in death are Norma’s parents and her beloved husband, Robert. Survivors include three children: Robert Gray Terrell Jr. and wife Cheryl, Tracy Elliott Terrell and wife April, and Jane Terrell Reese and husband Terry. Grandchildren, Tyler, Connor, and Jordan Reese and Rachel and Gray Terrell.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 3rd from 6-8 pm at Restland Funeral Home. Service will take place on Tuesday, February 4th at 2:30 at the Restland Memorial Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial may be made to American Cancer Society.
