Nova Lee Tolbert's Obituary
Born June 6, 1916 and passed away January 23, 2009. She was a member of the Baptist Church and very highly respected in her community. People knew her to be a caring, sweet and giving individual who spent her spare time caring for the elderly. Mrs. Tolbert kept an immaculate yard and her yard was featured in the Dallas Morning News. She was preceded in death by her daughter; Mira McKinley, her son; C.L. Anderson and a great-grandchild; Edward Johnson. She is survived by granddaughter; Isla Powell and husband, Larry, grandson; Nolan Johnson, three great-grandchildren; Mira Johnson, Nova Johnson, and Hashim Lipscomb and wife, Julie. Also survived by great-great-grandchildren; Camron Cunningham, Isla Johnson, Edward Lipscomb, Alexander Lipscomb, Yessi Lipscomb, and brothers; Vester Walker and T.J. Walker as well as, a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. A visitation will be held at Restland Funeral Home on Thursday, January 29, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Service for Mrs. Tolbert will be in Restland’s Wildwood Chapel on Friday, January 30, at 12:30 pm.
