Officer Rogelio Santander, Jr. was born in Dallas, TX on February 26 in the year 1991. He passed away on Wednesday, April 25th in the year 2018 at the age of 27 in Dallas, TX.The Dallas Police Department has been the most important part of his life. Rogelio always wanted to become a police officer. He loved his job. To him, it wasn’t just a duty. It was his passion. He was very proud to be a part of the department and to belong to the Northeast 3rd Watch Division. In the three years he served there, he left unforgettable memories with everyone that knew him. Rogelio was a young adult who, outside of work, loved to play basketball, soccer, golf, and going to the gym. Most importantly, he loved to spend time with his number one priority, his FAMILY. He was always very helpful around the house and regularly gave his younger brother, Chris, advice. Rogelio Santander, Jr. is a great example to follow as a person, a son, a brother and an outstanding police officer.Rogelio leaves to cherish his memory, his father, Rogelio Santander, Sr.; his mother, Julia; his brother, Chris Santander; his girlfriend, Jennifer Rivera; and his grandfather, Ignacio Garcia.The family will receive friends from 6:00pm to 9:00pm, Monday evening, April 30, 2018 at Cathedral Guadalupe in Downtown Dallas. Services for Officer Santander will be at 11:00am, Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at Lake Pointe Church in Rockwall with graveside services following at Restland Memorial Park in the Garden of Honor.Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Cemetery, 13005 Greenville Avenue, at Restland Road, Dallas, TX 75243, (972-238-7111).
