Oleda Mae Kinman's Obituary
Kinman, Oleda Mae Maines, of Richardson, Texas, born October 11, 1922, died on Wednesday, July 03, 2013, at the age of 90. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 4:00 PM on Sunday, July 7, 2013 at Restland Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at Noon on Monday, July 8, 2013 in Restland Abbey Chapel. Interment will follow the service. Oleda was the daughter of Harrison and lIa Bruce Maines of Florien, Louisiana, and was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Col. Russell Delmus “Dell” Kinman, Ret., originally fromOakland City, Indiana; daughter, Linda Kinman Luttrall; and son, Richard Del Kinman. She is survived by her son, Bruce Hamilton Kinman and his wife, Kimberly R. South of Richardson; granddaughter, Jessica Luttrall Judkins and husband, Alex; and great grandchildren, Barrett and Linda Lou of La Vista, Nebraska; brothers, Doyle Maines of Vidor, Texas and Charles Maines and his wife, Mary Ann of Red Oak, Texas; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and countless friends. She touched and enriched so many lives and was loved by so many. Oleda graduated from Natchitoches High School, attended Business School in Shreveport, Louisiana, was employed at Barksdale Air Force Base where she met and then married Dell. As part of The Greatest Generation, WW II pilot Deli’s Air Force service afforded the couple many opportunities for world travel- namely Japan and Germany. Together they reared three children with rich love and much self-sacrifice. The summation of such a full life and precious memories is difficult, but simply stated; she was “the best Mother”.
