Oliver Kelly Lawson's Obituary
Oliver "Kelly" Lawson, a beloved resident of Dallas, TX, passed away peacefully on April 27, 2025, at the age of 80. Born on Christmas Day in 1944 to Oliver Smith Lawson and Jessie Kelly Lawson, Kelly's life was a testament to faith, compassion, and service.
Kelly dedicated his life to preaching the gospel and feeding the homeless at Main Street Church of Christ, where his kindness and generosity touched countless lives. His unwavering commitment to helping others was a beacon of hope and love in the community. After retirement at Main Street Church of Christ, he became a member of Able Springs Church of Christ, where his faith and fellowship were deeply valued.
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Ginger, who passed in 2016; his parents; and grandparents. He is survived by his daughters, Cari Miller and Tiffany Otto; his son Michael Lawson; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family members and friends who will forever cherish his memory.
A graveside service to honor Kelly's life will be held on May 5, 2025, at 2 PM at Forest Lawn Cemetery, located at 10977 Harry Hines Blvd. His family invites all who knew and loved him to join in celebrating his remarkable life and the indelible mark he left on the hearts of many.
