Oliver Willoby Swor Jr.'s Obituary
Swor, Oliver W. Jr. ~ Long time resident of Richardson, passed away July 9 at the age of 87. Preceding him in death, his beloved wife of 66 years Madeline (Talbot) of Richardson. A World War II Navy veteran, he served in the Pacific. One of the first fire fighters for the City of Richardson, he retired after 31 years with the Richardson Fire Department, as Training Officer then as a respected Deputy Fire Chief. He and Madeline moved to Cedar Creek Lake, enjoying their retirement and traveling together in their RV. Survived by 3 children Sondra Biller (Gerald), Mike (Judy) and Gary (Melody). Also 3 grandchildren JoLyn Turner, Emily Roybal (Raphael) and Jud Metzger, 1 great grandchild Kobyn Metzger. Also, 1 brother Jim Hodges (Sharon), a niece Shelley Muller(Brady). Visitation Thursday July 12 6pm-8pm at Restland Funeral Home. Graveside services will be at Restland Cemetery on Friday, July 13 at 11:00am.
