Born on March 3, 1948 and passed away December 14, 2011 after a long battle with cancer. She was preceded in death by her father, Oliver C. She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Tom, three adult children Brookanne, Tommy, and Jeffrey, mother Alvina Ayers of Dallas, sister Barbara McLaurin (Hilton) of Lubbock, brother David Ayers (Jenny), of Farmington, NM, and several nieces and nephews. Olivia served as a teacher in Dallas ISD for 35 years before retiring in 2005. Her greatest devotion was in her love and care for her three children who have Spinal Muscular Atrophy, a form of Muscular Dystrophy. She was a strong and very loving person who saw the best in everyone and always kept a positive attitude. She taught us all to love, trust, and have faith in God. Olivia was loved and will be missed by many friends and family. A memorial celebrating Olivia’s life will be held at Park Cities Baptist Church, 3933 Northwest Parkway, Dallas, TX 75225 at 2pm on Saturday, December 17, 2011.
