I met Mrs. Higginbotham in late 1974, when I was attending SMU and dated her daughter Patricia Ann. I was invited to numerous dinners at the Paulson home, along with a memorable Thanksgiving with a smoked turkey. She, and her husband were wonderful to me and made me feel like a part of the family, along with Carlton junior. I will never forget her graciousness and sweet manner, a true lady. My heartfelt condolences to Pat and Carlton and their families for their loss.
