Ollie Mae Trunnell's Obituary
Ollie Mae Trunnell also known as “Lady Haha”, passed peacefully from this life into the arms of Jesus on Saturday, March 19, 2016, surrounded by her family and friends at her home after a courageous battle with cancer. Ollie Mae was born on March 22, 1936, in Haughton, Louisiana to Felix and Ellen, she was the second oldest of six children. She was an extraordinary woman, one of faith and strength. Ollie Mae’s chief love in life was her Lord Jesus and the family and friends with whom she shared that love. She was a beloved mother of three, grandmother of 11 and great-grandmother of one. She passed on her love of life, faith, courage and her act of kindness to her children and grandchildren. Those who knew her best, enjoyed both her laughter and her ability to literally be there for everyone and anyone in their time of need. She was also a woman of many talents through the years from being a mechanic to a truck driver. She spent over 40 years as a dedicated employee at Longhorn Road Boring Company, where she retired and made life-long friends whom she considered an extension of her family. She also had a passion for her CB Club, and was also known as “Lady Haha” or “Lady 824”, which gave her so much joy and many more friends along the way. She was strong in her faith, and was a devoted member at St. Luke Community UMC Church since 1979, through the day that God carried her in his arms and took her home. Ollie Mae had an infectious, unforgettable laugh, a huge heart and made an everlasting impression to all that came in contact with her. She will be missed dearly here on this earth but will live an eternity with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
