Omar Mark Nasir's Obituary
Omar Nasir, beloved son, friend, and scholar, passed away in Dallas, Texas. Born in London, England, in 1978, Omar moved to the United States at a young age with his family and grew up in the Dallas area. He attended Greenhill High School, where he was known for his sharp intellect, quiet strength, and kind heart.
After high school, Omar moved to Austin to pursue his education at the University of Texas at Austin, earning his bachelor's degree and laying the foundation for a life dedicated to learning and growth. His journey took him to New York City, where he spent several years working and gaining valuable life and professional experience.
Eventually, Omar returned to Dallas to be close to his beloved mother. Never one to stop learning, he enrolled at the University of Texas at Dallas, where he recently earned his Master’s degree with pride and determination just last May.
Omar will be remembered for his gentle demeanor, his deep thoughtfulness, and his unwavering love for his family. His presence left a lasting impact on those who knew him, and his memory will continue to inspire all who were fortunate to share in his life.
A memorial service to honor the life of Omar will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, May 9, 2025 at Memorial Chapel at Restland Funeral Home, 13005 Greenville Ave, Dallas, TX 75243.
Those wishing to send flowers may do so by contacting Rembrandt Florist by Restland at (972) 761-8989. Independent florists are kindly asked to deliver flowers directly to Restland Funeral Home by 1:00 PM on Friday, May 9, 2025, to ensure proper and timely display for Omar's services.
A reception will be held once the chapel service concludes from 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM at Restland's Event Center. Omar's family would like to warmly extend an invitation to anyone wishing to attend the reception in order to continue in fellowship and in the sharing of memories. The Restland Event Center is also located on-site at Restland Funeral Home, 9220 Restland Road Dallas, TX 75243
