Oneida Furn Fletcher's Obituary
FLETCHER, ONEIDA FURN went to be with her Lord on April 21, 2010. She was met there by her husband, John W. Fletcher Sr. and daughter, Deborah Ann. Oneida Furn Cargile was born April 14, 1921 near West Helena, Arkansas. She wed John Fletcher on January 19, 1942, and they moved to Dallas shortly after their marriage. During the subsequent 65 years, Furn committed her time as a loving wife, a devoted mother and grandmother, and a faithful member of Ross Avenue Baptist Church. Furn was a gifted artist and over the years created more than 100 beautiful oil paintings. Now, her family and friends have these treasures to enjoy for years to come. Furn is survived by her two sons, John Jr. and wife Betsy of Denton, Eugene and wife Monnie of Arlington, three grandchildren Lisa Fletcher, Eugene Fletcher, Keri McClellan, four great grandchildren Victoria and Ashley Fletcher, Callie and Colin McClellan.
