Murphy, Ophelia Grace McKinzie of Plano, TX born May 7, 1921 in Atwood, OK and passed away peacefully on July 16, 2016. Survived by son, Tom Murphy of Plano, TX; daughter, Judv Toal of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; grandchildren, Kim Selzer (Richard)of Plano, Brett Murphy (Brittainy) of Plano and Justin Toal of Miami Beach, FL; great-grandchildren, Abby Selzer, Mason Murphy, Maddox Murphy, and Declan Toal, sister, Patsy Mitchell (TJ) of Henryetta, OK, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Paul and Jo Murphy of Ada, OK, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Murphy. Also, preceded by her parents and 1 brother and 3 sisters. Ophelia met her husband of 68 years at East Central State College in Ada, Oklahoma. She supported her husband in his career for all of their married life, while also working herself and being a fabulous mother to their two children. After her husband retired from REA Express, Ophelia and Charlie founded a custom home building business in Plano, Texas, that spanned three generations, where they worked together for many years. After their retirement from home building, Ophelia and Charlie traveled with the Good Sam Club where they served as Assistant State Director and made life-long friends. The family would like to thank the staff at Cottonwood Estates, Grace Home Health and Medical Center of Plano for their care of our mother and grandmother. Visitation will be Tuesday July 19, 2016 from 6-8 P.M. Private graveside service to be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Seven Loaves Food Pantry, Plano, TX.
