I had a dream about you last night where we got to spend your last day together. We ate, sang, reminisced on old memories and got to tell each other goodbye. We were happy and you were healthy. I've been waiting for that dream a long time. I asked you to dance before you left… As I went to get our old radio… I woke up – You still owe me our last dance. As we get closer to your 1 year passing- I can't help but feel the loss of you all over again. I still think about you every day and remember the good times we had together. I don't think I've come to terms with reality and your absence in my life. Though I wasn't able to be there on your last day, I hope you know you were in my thoughts and heart… and that I would give anything to have been there with you during your passing. I promise to spend the rest of my life making it up to you… doing everything I can to ensure all my actions and decisions would make you proud to have me as your grandson. I will forever love and miss you grandma. Please come visit me again soon… Love, -Andres Rios Avalos
