Orion M. McLain's Obituary
McLain, Orion Morgan “Mac” Passed from this life into heaven on March 2, 2011. Mac was born January 19, 1922 in Ranger, Texas and married Nannie Frances Patterson on December 2, 1940. A veteran of World War II China-Burma-India campaign, Mac was a member of the Harding Blaine American Legion Post #321, Plano, Texas, and a lifetime member of VFW #4477 where he was Commander for several years. He was a Master Mason in good standing life member of the Highland Park Masonic Lodge #1150, and an endowed life member of the Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers Union Local #29. Mac was loved by all who knew him and he will be greatly missed. Mac is survived by his wife, Nan McLain of Dallas; daughter, Dehbra Richter of Irving; grandchildren, Michael Wilder and wife Debbie of Victorville, CA, Jason Wilder of Oklahoma City, OK, Erika Vazquez and husband Luis of Mesquite; and 6 great grandchildren, Aaron Wilder, Shelby Richter, Brandon Vazquez, Samuel Wilder, Lucas Wilder, and Lauren Wilder. Visitation will be from 6:00 – 8:00 PM on Monday, March 7, 2011 at Restland Funeral Home. Services will be held at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at Restland Wildwood Chapel followed by interment at Garden of Freedom at Restland. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the American Cancer Society , the American Heart Association , or the National Kidney Foundation .
