Oscar Vernon Roland Jr., 84, born October 28, 1932 in Camron, Texas, passed away Wednesday, February 22, 2017. Oscar is preceded in death by his parents Oscar V. Roland Sr. and Mary H. Roland, sister; Joyce Meyers and brother; John Roland. Oscar is survived by his loving wife of 61 years Linnie M. Roland, sons; David Roland, Vernon Roland and Terry Roland, daughters; Lynda Brown and Laura Craft, brother; Ronald Roland, sister; Dianne Pelton, ten grandchildren and seven great grandchildren, as well as numerous loving friends. Oscar was a loving, faithful and dedicated husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend to all who knew and loved him. He will be greatly missed by all. Funeral Service will be held Friday February 24, 2017, 10:00 a.m., at Restland Funeral Home, Wildwood Chapel. Visitation will be Thursday February 23, 2017, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., at Restland Funeral Home. Burial will be directly following the funeral service at Restland Memorial Park, Garden of Faith. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, at Restland Road, Dallas, TX 75243.
