Pamela Ann Davis' Obituary

On January 28, 2024, Pamela (Pam) Ann Davis passed away in her home, at the age of 70. Her departure has left a void in the hearts of all who knew her. Pam was a beloved wife, mother, Missy, Great Missy, friend, crafter, adventurer, cat lady and collector of snowmen. She was born on May 25, 1953 in Odessa Texas to William James Rittenhouse and Imogene J. Taylor.
Pam was a loving and devoted wife to her husband, Michael. They met while working at MCI in Richardson, Texas. She always said “I didn’t even realize we were dating”, but Michael knew from the start that they would be together. Pam and Michael were married on August 4, 2001. They went on many adventures during their 22 years of marriage. Whether it was trying a new restaurant in the neighborhood, venturing to Fredericksburg or Galveston they always managed to have a good time just being together.
Pam was an exceptional mother to her only daughter Jenifer and son-in-law George. She was a cherished grandmother, known as Missy, to her granddaughters, Kathryne, Samantha, Penelope and Annie. Great Missy to her great grandchildren, Johny and Hazel. Her warmth and kindness were evident in the joy she brought to her family and friends.
Pam graduated from Texas Woman’s University in 2003 with a bachelor's degree in Social Work. She received her masters degree in Social Work August 12, 2006 from Texas A&M University-Commerce. Pam began her career with the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services. After obtaining her licensure in clinical social work she began her behavioral health career at Galaxy Counseling Center. Pam started at Baylor University Medical Center where she was able to advance her career by becoming the Program Manager for the Integrated Behavioral Health Social Work Program in the Community Care Clinics. She was committed to lead, inspire, and nurture her team. Pam was actively involved in many projects for the Behavioral Health Program.
In her spare time, Pam was an avid crafter. When she wasn’t actively creating a project, she was planning her next project. Her creative spirit touched the lives of those around her. Pam’s passion for creating mementos enriched the lives of those fortunate enough to receive them.
Pam is preceded in death by her father, William James Rittenhouse, mother Imogene Rittenhouse, brother William James Rittenhouse II and sister, Rosalind Honnoll.
Pam is survived by her husband, Michael Davis; Daughter, Jenifer (George) Handley; Granddaughters, Kathryne, Samantha, Penelope, and Annie; Great Grandchildren, Johny and Hazel Rodriguez. Pam also leaves behind two brothers, Richard (Bridgette) Rittenhouse and Daniel (Lucy) Rittenhouse, 4 nephews, 2 nieces, 2 great nephews, a great niece and a great great nephew.
Although we are heartbroken, she would tell us “Just Breathe”.
