Pamela Ann Hill's Obituary
Pamela Ann Hill was born on April 17, 1947, to Ray and Pauline Pruett of Amarillo, Texas. She was born and raised in Amarillo with her older brother, Weldon Ray Pruett. She married the love of her life, A Lucius “Lou” Hill, on June 12, 1966, in Cimarron, New Mexico. They had three daughters and were happily married for 43 years before Lou passed away in January 2010. She was called to Jesus on February 3, 2022.
Pam was involved in ministry and served with her husband for over 40 years in churches located in Springfield, Missouri; Amarillo, Austin, and Irving, Texas; as well as Nampa, Idaho. As a pastor’s wife, she had a real heart for serving, mentoring, encouraging women, and leading Bible studies. She was a childcare director for 13 years and had a big heart for families with young children. Most recently, she spent time serving the elderly at Cottonwood Inn and Rehabilitation Center in Durango, Colorado. She loved the mountains, cooking, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends. Even in her last days on this earth, she was rejoicing and serving the Lord in her life. Her passion to see the gospel and love of Jesus spread through the ends of the world shone through her brightly and abundantly. She was a loving, joy-filled, and Christ-honoring woman of the Lord.
She was preceded in death by her father, Ray Lester Pruett; mother, Pauline Pruett Krahn; stepfather, Fred Krahn; brother, Weldon Ray Pruett; and her loving husband, A Lucius “Lou” Hill.
She is survived by her three daughters: Melissa Gillham of Lubbock, Texas; Heather Bradfield (Gregory) of North Logan, Utah; Rebecca Standridge (Chris) of Lexington, Ohio; and her ten grandchildren: Travis Bradfield, Wesley Gillham, Mason Gillham, Alexandria Bradfield, Sydney Standridge, Matthew Gillham, Raegan Standridge, Victoria Bradfield, Vanessa Bradfield, and Finley Standridge; and many nieces and nephews.
Pam leaves her friends and loved ones with unforgettable memories and loving stories. She will be sincerely missed by all who knew and loved her.
