I met Jill in college at Stephen F. Austin State University. She was one of the most bubbly people around. I loved hanging out with her because I knew there was always going to be fun in Jill's presence. We stayed in touch off and on throughout the years (I treasured the beautiful letters she wrote), seeing each other now and then, and never missing a beat as though no time had elapsed at all. She and I, and two others of our college gal pals got together for several days two summers in a row a short while back, and swore we would do it every summer. Ah, the best laid plans.
