Patricia Ann Byrd's Obituary
Patrica Ann Byrd, 89, of Dallas Texas went home to her Heavenly Savior on Wednesday January 3, 2024.
Pat was born to Uhel C Bird, and Hazel Black Bird on October 29, 1934 in St. Joseph Missouri.
She attended SMU before transferring to The University of Texas where she studied psychology and was a member of Phi Beta Phi sorority. She met her Husband Larry Rutledge Byrd at church in Dallas, Texas. They married in Dallas and soon moved to Duluth Minnesota as Larry was a Captain in the United States Air force.
After completing his stent in the Airforce, Larry and Pat settled in Dallas, Texas and raised two daughters. Pat was an experienced Bible Study Fellowship discussion leader for years and extremely active at Park Cities Baptist Church. But her pride and joy were in her daughters and their families. Mimi, as she was called, was always thinking of how she could enrich others’ lives. Whether it was a family vacation to Disney World, or watching the Cowboys play on Sunday, Mimi was always interested in spending time with her loved ones. Pat’s love for the Lord was evident, and her legacy is written on the hearts of her daughters, grandchildren, great grandchild, and the countless friends she impacted throughout her life.
She is survived by her husband Larry, children Debbie Price and her Husband Philip, Julie Brigman and her husband Boyd, Grand children Cole Brigman, Keith Price, Brett and Hope Price and Christi (Brigman) and Justin Kretchmer and Great granddaughter Aislinn Kretchmer. Nephew Gregg Byrd and Niece Laura Edge.
Memorial Service will be at Park Cities Baptist Church in Ellis Chapel on January 18th, at 2:00PM
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Park Cities Baptist Church.
