Patricia Mary Low's Obituary
Patricia Mary Low, 67, of Sachse, Texas passed away on Wednesday, October 23, 2019, at her home in Sachse Texas. She was born on March 7, 1952 to her loving parents George Orton Beeckler and Hazel Zanzing Beeckler in San Antonio, Texas. I met my wife at the Bronco Apartments in San Antonio in October of 1973 while in the United States Air Force. We started dating 26 March 1974 and went to a club called “Something Different” on Ingram Road in San Antonio. We were both looking for something different and this was perfect. We were engaged on 18 May 1974 and were married on 26 October 1974 in the backyard of Pat’s parents at 9313 Powhatan in San Antonio. We moved to Garland, TX to start our life together. We were fortunate enough to spend five years of our life together in Australia where our son and daughter were born. The many memories we made are captured in photo albums that Patricia meticulously put together while on many of her scrap booking adventures with friends. Patricia was a 1970 graduate of Winston Churchill High School in San Antonio, Texas. Patricia went on to complete her BA in Business Communications at the University of Texas at Dallas in 1995 graduating Cum Laude. During her lifetime, Patricia had a passion for church and volunteer work. Over the years with Buckingham United Methodist Church she participated as a member of the Staff perish relations committee, secretary of nomination committee, youth coordinator, finance committee, and others. She loved to participate in bible study. She was a volunteer for the Garland Police Department and participated in the citizen’s police academy for Garland and Sachse Police Departments. Patricia was a certified swimming official for both High school and United States Swimming associations. She was secretary of the North Texas Swimming Association and president of the Garland Gator Swim Team. She was treasurer of Boy Scout Troop 145, leader of a Girl Scout Troop and vice president of publications for PTA at Spring Creek Elementary. Patricia was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels for several years. Patricia was employed by the Garland Independent School District and held several positions including Computer Lab Manager at Spring Creek Elementary, Technology Associate assisting in training district employees in new technology and Facilitator of Computer Automation Systems. Her attention to detail and penchant for accuracy made her a valuable assist in the positions she held and loved. She retired in 2016 with 33 years of service and devoted her time to loving and enjoying her grand children. Patricia was preceded in death by her father George, and mother Hazel Beeckler. Patricia leaves behind her husband of 45 years Boyd C. Low, her daughter Sarah E. Kleinpeter of Sachse Texas, her son Richard T. Low of Watagua Texas, a brother Thomas F, Beeckler of Jacksonville Florida, grandsons Caleb Michael Kleinpeter and Andrew Joshua Kleinpeter, and son-in-law Michael R. Kleinpeter as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Patricia Mary Low will be sincerely missed by her loving family, many friends and all who were fortunate enough to have known and loved her. A Celebration of Life Service for Patricia Mary Low will be held at Buckingham United Methodist Church at 1212 West Buckingham Road, Garland, Tx 75040 at 10 AM on 16 November 2019. In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation be made to Buckingham United Methodist Church of Garland.
