I'll never forget the first time I met Pat and Howard at a tournament in Abilene. With them, you were immediately a part of their family. Her smile and hospitality gave hundreds of people a sense of family and home. She was the epitome of encouragement and love to many of us.
Pat has been a part of my life since I was 15. She is going to be missed by many people. So many lives have been touched by this precious woman. All of you are in my prayers.
I have nothing but years of happy memories of big Texan Pat hugs & smiles, love, hi's & Texan hospitality from her. She always made me feel so good inside. She was so instrumental in TX establishing and maintaining a national training center for our USA VB team. We excelled as a result. Love & hugs to you in heaven. Howard, Matt and family, Pat's loss is very sad for me and my family. You and Pat were very special to us. Meeting you'll and the Hedricks in 1957 made lifelong friends for Moon and me. We hit it off big time from the beginning and shared many good times in Alpine, Abilene, and Dallas. We will always have our memories!
Pat, you are my inspiration, my friend, my colleague and truly the role model that i will hold so dear to my heart. I will never forget everything that you and Howard have done for me over the past 38 years. You were supportive no matter what the situation might be. If we were to take Pats and Howards continuous smiles, and connect them together, to everyone's lives they have touched, then we would have a "smile-chain" that would circle the world. This is the lovable volleyball family that Pat created for us all… Her precious smile is a flower in my heart that will grow with me all the days of my life, and guide me to be a better person in her honor.
